Es importante utilizar reguladores de carga para cargar las baterías. Los reguladores se encargan de cortar la inyección de corriente a la batería cuando esta ha alcanzado la tensión de carga máxima. Sin el regulador la batería podría ser sobrecargada produciendo daños irreversibles e incluso la explosión en baterías selladas.
Otra misión del regulador es evitar el paso de corriente desde la batería hacia los paneles evitando que se descargue la batería. Durante la noche, la tensión de la batería es mayor que la tensión en los paneles por falta de irradiación, sin un mecanismo que bloquee el paso de esta corriente inversa, la batería se descargaría poco a poco.

It is important to use charge regulators to charge the batteries. The regulators are responsible for cutting the injection of current to the battery when it has reached the maximum load voltage. Without the regulator the battery could be overloaded producing irreversible damage and even explosion in sealed batteries.
Another mission of the regulator is to avoid the passage of current from the battery to the panels, preventing the battery from being discharged. During the night, the voltage of the battery is greater than the voltage in the panels due to lack of irradiation, without a mechanism that blocks the passage of this reverse current, the battery would be discharged little by little.
